Love Stories, Day Five

When I say that I love lists, I am not exaggerating. I am not a one-list-a-day sort of lister. I have dozens of lists that I update throughout the day that help me keep my peace. My life would feel totally out of control without my notebooks, note-aps, and many scraps of paper that I write on throughout the day.

It’s not a problem until it interferes with life, right? I’m sure my list obsession is fine.

I’m fine.

Listing, like running, is a coping mechanism that works until it doesn’t. I’ve had to take breaks from both activities because there were times where these habits weren’t helping my anxiety, but just giving me more to be anxious about.

To that end, with only a few love stories left to go, I’m switching gears today and giving you, and myself, a little break. In honor of my love for lists, and as we head into a quarantined Valentine’s Day weekend, I am offering up my favorite romantic(ish) movies for your viewing pleasure:

  • 10.) 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) - for '90s teenage love

  • 7.) The Theory of Everything (2014)- for intellectual love
